Awaken.

"You will be My Treasure... A Kingdom of Priests, My Holy Nation!"
- Exodus 19:5-6

1500 years later, Peter echoes this promise to remind His Brothers and Brothers of WHO THEY ARE & WHAT THEIR MISSION IS as followers of Jesus: ​​​

"You are a Chosen People. You are Royal Priests, a Holy Nation, God's very Own Possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for He called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light."
-1 Peter 2:9

WHO ARE YOU? Chosen, Priests, Holy, God's Own Possession!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? Revealing, proclaiming to the world the goodness, excellencies, virtuous acts of God, and the night/day difference He has made in Our Lives! We have become a disciple.
WHAT IS YOUR MISSION AND PURPOSE? It's not my/your mission! It's GOD'S MISSION!
WHAT IS GOD'S MISSION? Genesis 12:3, Psalm 46:10, Matt 24:14, 28:18-20, Rev 7:9, 21:3

Equip.

Equip them with the skills necessary to accomplish God's mission

WHAT IS A DISCIPLE? A Disciple is one who responds to the invitation of Jesus to follow Him in allegiance to His claims and obedience to His Commands.
WHAT IS THE GOAL OF A DISCIPLE? The goal is transformation into Christlikeness.
THE BIBLE SHOWS US HOW. Ezra 7:10, John 1:18, Philippians 2:5-8

Deploy.

The reason we are awakened and equipped is to be deployed. If disciples are not deployed, are they really disciples? A ship is not built for the dock, a plane is not built for the runway, disciples are not transformed to stay in the Pew!

JESUS WAS DEPLOYED BY THE FATHER. Galatians 4:4, Hebrews 10:5, John 17:4
JESUS SENDS US AS HE WAS SENT. John 20:21–“As the Father has Sent ME, I am Sending You!”
