About Discipleship Training Workshops:
ovMost pastors would agree that making disciples is the church’s top priority, but a close look at the weekly activities of the church reveals a glaring lack of an intentional plan or process to make disciples. Quite frankly, there are too many distractions and other pastoral responsibilities to focus on such a time consuming venture as making disciples. Unfortunately, many pastors have never had the personal privilege to experience a discipling relationship so they default to their preaching as their sole contribution to disciple making.
During a twelve-sixteen hour interactive workshop focusing upon the mandate of Jesus for His followers to make disciples, we will search the Scriptures to discover what biblical discipleship looks like today, why it really matters, and how any follower of Jesus can make another disciple by using practical tools that have been field tested around the world.
The workshop is led by Denny & Cindy Heiberg of TMS Global. Denny has been a pastor and elder in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church for over 25 years. During the last few years he and Cindy have served with TMS Global training pastors, cross cultural workers, and church leaders globally with proven models and principles of discipleship.
